Get ready Northwest Ohio, this Sunday is the annual Applebutter Festival in Grand Rapids! Over 50,000 people show up for this one day event which includes juried art, crafts, historical encampment and of course our “world famous” applebutter.
Another great reason to visit Grand Rapids on Applebutter Fest day is to eat some very delicious food. Stop by LaRoes for an apple dumpling, purchase some tasty kettle corn from Karen’s ( she sets up right in front of The Mill House). Buy a Buffalo Burger and homemade bean soup from the local high school’s athletic boosters, and last but not least…..you can’t leave until you purchase scones and cookies from “Joyful Confections”. These goodies are straight from The Mill House Kitchen and available to purchase right outside The Mill House front door.
This year’s profits from scone and cookie sales will benefit a ministry right here in the Toledo area called GIFTS (God is Faithful to Supply) They help single moms and those in need set up housekeeping in their own homes or apartments. To learn more about GIFTS click here :www.toledogifts.org
