Hooray! It finally feels like Spring. The Mill House garden is coming alive. Our early bloomers are brightly wearing their beautiful spring attire. Here is a quick glimpse at our spring time blooms!
The Virginia Bluebells come early and don’t stay long! Each year the spread to new places in the garden, lining the flagstone pathway the winds from the Mill House to the canal.
Nestled in among the Bluebells are these pretty little yellow poppies. This is the first year I have noticed them and I just love their bright yellow blooms.
These silly little Forget Me Nots found a home under the fragrant “spice” bush! Their tiny blue blossoms bring some color to our patio area.
My favorite view of the spring is from our upper back deck. This gorgeous bush blooms only for a short time but the fragrance is out of this world.
Under our large White Pine Tree is drift wood from the river and two sweet little gnomes who just might sneak a bite of your breakfast when you enjoy your meal on our riverside patio!
Soon Summer will be here and we’ll show off our summer flowers…Tiger Lilies, Cone Flowers, Black Eye Susans, Bee Balm, Phlox, Peonies, wild Geraniums, and wild Roses!
