Things are starting to feel more like spring in Grand Rapids. Each summer the Grand Rapids Historical Society sponsors outdoor concerts on our riverside towpath. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to listen to a variety of music on selected Sunday afternoons staring in June and wrapping up the beginning of October.
There are 8 concerts planned for this season. The first concert will take place on Sunday, June 17. One of our favorite local bands, DC Taylor will be performing. Dudley and Chris will entertain you with all of your favorite songs from the 1950’s to current days. Great voices and acoustical guitars. Something for everyone!!
The other concerts through out the summer range from traditional Irish Folk Music, Jazz, Big Band, and the ever popular Otsego High school band and show choir. Literally something different each concert and something for all tastes.
Concerts start at 4:00. The perfect time to stay after for dinner at one of our great local restaurants, or have a beer at our newest neighbor, Wild Side Brewery.
As the season progresses I’ll keep you up to date on the remainder of the concerts, or check the current events tab on our website!
Grace and Peace,
Kathy
We love these concerts !!
