Guests stay at The Mill House for many reasons. Respite for clergy and spouses, birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions are a few reasons that guests choose to stay with us. During the summer, weddings also make up a decent percentage of our guests. Sometimes it’s the newly married couple on their wedding night, wedding parties, families of the bride or the groom find us a convenient and homey place to stay before the big day.
The Mill House is close to many wedding venues, but our favorite are just around the corner and up or down the river. Parson’s County Line Farm and Nazareth Hall are two wonderful venues each with a personality all their own.
Nazareth Hall is a quick 5 minute drive up the Maumee River. It was built as a military school owned by the Diocese of Toledo. It now houses a beautiful and unique event venue.
It has several “halls” inside, each with their own distinctive look and atmosphere. An outdoor grotto and pretty chapel inside offer wonderful places for brides and grooms to say their “I Do’s”. They have their own chef and the food is amazing. Their staff knows how to treat you right and they make sure your special day is one you will always remember!
On the other side of the Maumee River is Parson’s County Line Farm. A gorgeous rural setting in a vintage barn and out buildings, it boasts some of the prettiest scenery in NW Ohio. Steve and Sharon Parson’s take their job hosting weddings seriously and want to make your day the best! You rent the barn and grounds, and then get creative with the decorating. They do offer other buildings, supplies, and decor for rent if you need it. Sharon has such an eye for re-purposing vintage finds that she can offer suggestions if needed. Here are a few pictures just to give you an idea of how amazing this property is!
Check out both of their websites and facebook pages. So many more amazing pictures and information. So, if you do book one of these places for you big day, don’t forget to stop by The Mill House to reserve your rooms!
